ABOUT RAS AL KHOR

If you are a nature lover, then Ras Al Khor is your dream place for living. The area is situated near Dubai Creek which is a few metres away. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the prominent places. This is home to thousands of birds, crustaceans and a variety of marine species. It is one of the most renowned protected urban reserves in the world. Dubai Municipality imposes special measures to protect the biodiversity of this ecosystem.

 

PROPERTIES IN RAS AL KHOR

In terms of real estate, there are two zones: the solely residential town and the mixed-use Ras Al Khor Industrial Area. Both have rental-only residential apartment structures, while Emaar Properties' new Dubai Creek Harbour will give ex-pats a variety of freehold options.

 

Residential Units

The residential units feature a closed kitchen, a balcony, built-in wardrobes, free maintenance, satellite connection, round-the-clock security, and a play area for children. From Dubai International Airport, the beachfront region is about a 10-minute drive away. Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road are nearby. Major arterial highways like Emirates Road are connected to the neighbourhood by Samari Residences. Apartments for rent often fall into one of two categories: 1- or 2-bedroom apartments. However, a few 3-bedroom apartments are also available for rent, often starting at AED 79k annually. One-bedroom flats in Ras Al Khor may cost you between AED 31k and AED 41k annually, whereas two-bedroom apartments will run you about AED 43k.

SUPERMARKETS

 

KP Mart supermarket, which is located in Ras Al Khor and is a 10-minute drive away, is the closest supermarket. In Al Jaddaf, there are several additional popular supermarkets, like Carrefour Hypermarket and Shaklan. Within walking distance of the towers, there are various small grocery stores and mini-marts.

 

MOSQUES, TEMPLES AND CHURCHES

Ras Al Khor Dubai is home to many mosques. There is a mosque there called Samari Masjid. The most well-known mosque in the area is just ten minutes away; it is called Nad Al Sheba Mosque. Hindus in Bur Dubai can go to the Gurudwara temple or the Shiva and Krishna temple, both of which are 11 minutes away. Nearby churches include St. Mary's Catholic Church and Dubai City Church, both of which are located near Dubai Healthcare City.

 

SCHOOLS

There are no schools in the community, however, there are numerous schools in the surrounding area. The City School International, Blue Bird Nursery, and Nadd Al Hamar School are all nearby. Furthermore, the Swiss International Scientific School is located across Dubai Creek and provides kids with international education as well as rigorous academics. For higher studies, students can enrol at Al Falah University or European University College, both of which are a 15-minute drive from the region.

 

CLINICS AND HOSPITALS

Aster Medical Clinic is located 10 minutes away on Ras Al Khor road. You can also go to Thumbay Clinic for a proper medical examination; it's a 13-minute drive away. Yoland Medical Center is another well-known facility in Ras Al Khor. The nearest one is in Nadd Al Hamar, also known as the Nadd Al Hamar Health Center. Emirates Specialty Hospital, Mediclinic City Hospital, and Magrabi Eye Hospital are just a few of the popular facilities in Dubai Healthcare City. All of them are a 13-minute drive apart.

MALLS

There are numerous shopping options in the region and nearby. On Ras Al Khor Road, near the shared border with Nad Al Hamar, there is a mall called Marhaba Mall. A branch of the Union National Bank, an Al Madina Hypermarket, a few eateries, and retail establishments can all be found in this community mall. The Dubai Festival City Mall is another nearby mall with numerous unique stores and services. The mall is home to Dubai's sole IKEA furniture shop and Robinson's department store. Entertainment choices include Novo Cinemas, the outdoor water and light show IMAGINE, Dhow rides on Festival Bay, and much more. In less than 20 minutes, you can reach other malls like City Centre Deira, Al Ghurair Centre, and Burjuman.

 

RESTAURANTS

The region has a variety of dining options at various price points that serve a wide range of cuisines. The Marhaba Mall is home to popular eateries like Lims Cafe, Zam Zam Mandi, and Today's Restaurant. Other restaurants in Ras Al Khor include Greens N Grills, which provides healthy Iranian food, Puranmal, an Indian restaurant known for its sweet delicacies, and Mahareb, a Yemeni Mandi restaurant. A short drive away, one can also go to one of the many casual restaurants in Dubai Festival City Mall. Hotels in the Dubai Festival City region have fine-dining establishments.

 

BEACHES

Residents have access to Jumeirah Public Beach, one of Dubai's busiest beaches. Ras Al Khor Dubai is only a short drive away. About 18 minutes drive will take you to a number of other beaches, including Sunset Beach and Kite Beach.

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a major tourist destination. The sanctuary, which is home to many different wildlife species, offers a serene atmosphere for the local birds and other animals. It takes about 23 minutes to get to the 1870-built historical site Burj Nahar. Zabeel Palace is another historical attraction about 12 minutes away. It takes 30 minutes to reach other well-known historical sites including the Juthoor Art Center and the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood.

Residents can enjoy movie evenings at theatres in the local areas. People can enjoy a trip to the Festival Bay shoreline in Dubai Festival City as well as parks in Nad Al Hamar. Nature lovers and visitors can always view the birds in their natural habitat at the Ras Al Khor Sanctuary.
