Technip Energies, French engineering, and technology firm have won a big project management consulting service agreement from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).

The “large” five-year framework agreement contract covers front-end engineering design (FEED), project management, and other related services for KOC’s major projects.

In the latest revelation, the company, which is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange, said that the deal was a renewal of the first five-year joint declaration that KOC gave to Technip Energies in 2014.

Commenting on the contract win, Charles Cessot, senior vice-president T.EN X of Technip Energies, said: “We are delighted by the continued confidence shown by KOC with this award to support them on their major developments. This award reinforces the strong and lasting relationship we have built with KOC and reaffirms our outstanding consultancy delivery as well as our long-standing presence in Kuwait.”

Technip Energies has been given contracts worth between $263 million (€250 million) and $526 million (€500 million) of revenue. This has been called a “large” award. Since the framework agreement is a “call-off,” the value of the contract as a whole will be added to order intake as the client calls it off.

Work that Technip Energies does on difficult projects

Technip Energies says that its PMC experts have worked on some of the world’s most difficult onshore and offshore projects, such as the RAPID refinery and petrochemical development program in Malaysia, subprojects for the building works and modernizing of oil production and export centers in Kuwait, the NASR full field development in UAE, and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Italy, Albania, and Greece.

The company has kept track of more than 3 million hours of project management consulting per year.
